Redcliffe Peninsula celebrated in style.........
They say people come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. Chef Danny White was gobsmacked when his long-time friend of 24 years, renowned Chef Tetsuya Wakuda flew in on Sunday afternoon to surprise him at the grand opening of his latest venture.
Danny and his wife Sue, operators of the peninsula's newest dining enclave, along with their loyal team of staff, celebrated with many of their long term regular customers as well as resort
apartment owners and managers at their Scarborough beach restaurant, located in the the Peninsula's premier Scarborough Beach Resort.
Having spent the last dozen or so years working on the Peninsula, at the Moreton Bay Boat Club, and previously Redcliffe Leagues Club, Danny has developed a strong local following, many of whom
were there to help celebrate his lifetime dream of opening his very own restaurant. About 200 invited guests visited the new restaurant on the day.
Guests were treated to finger food samplings from the lunch and dinner menu as well as wines and drinks from the winelist, over three sessions running from noon through till 8pm. The team of staff and family then enjoyed a well earned break as Tetsuya cooked them a fabulous meal, and partied till the wee small hours.
Thank you Sandy for writing up this 'expose'.
Danny and Sue and the staff hope people enjoyed themselves as much on the day as they did!
And would like to thank all those who attended for a very pleasurable day.
